The Divine Design team is led by multi-award-winning interior architect and designer, Gwen Kenny.  A veteran of the industry, Gwen is one of Ireland’s most experienced commercial and residential designers who has earned a reputation for her creativity, attention to detail and unwavering commitment to sustainable design.

Tadhg Kenny

Tadhg Kenny is a master craftsman and carpenter trained in the old traditional methods. He comes from a long line of master craftsmen who worked on the iconic Lyons Demesne Estate, Co. Kildare. Three of his great granduncles are buried in the Estate cemetry in tribute to their outstanding contribution.

Tadhg’s rich heritage in design and craftsmanship, handed down through the many generations has inspired his lifelong passion for traditional methods. He graduated from Bolton Street in 1993 having honed his joinery skills working in a boatbuilding and restoration company.

Tadhg is a highly creative individual who thrives on the collaboration with other specialists and craftspeople that are as passionate and attentive to detail as he is, in the quest to create something totally special and unique. His custom made joinery is based on decades of acquired skill, the mastering of traditional hand skills and a true dedication to his trade.

His portfolio of diverse projects range from work on listed and period buildings, to specialist commercial and residential work to creating his bespoke one off pieces of furniture. Tradition, longevity and quality are the hallmarks of his work.

What did you want to be when you grew up? – An Archaeologist because I was amazed with how they would use tiny brushes to dust off dirt from items they found.
2 – You are a new addition to a crayon box what would you be and why? – Multi-coloured because I can multi-task.
3 – Is a hot dog a sandwich and why? – Yes technically, but I wouldn’t call it a sandwich.
4 – Choose a movie title for the story of your life. – The Notebook but I like to write everything down.
5 – What was your favourite toy as a kid? – A pretend Post Office. It came with everything needed like stamps, mini envelopes etc.
6 – How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet? – 30 years, they were my first pair of shoes.
7 – What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time? – Rearrange the fridge after a doing the food shopping.
8 – Which way does your toilet paper hang on the wall, over or under? -Always over
9 – What are three things still left on your bucket list? – My list is still pretty long but 3 things that stand out are, to go in a hot air balloon, to go on the back of a motorbike and to visit New York.
10 – If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose? – I’d like to read people’s minds so I could avoid all the toxic people.

1 – What did you want to be when you grew up? – A pilot, but it turned out I was colourblind, so I became a designer*
2 – You are a new addition to a crayon box what would you be and why? –  Probably the blue one, suits all scenarios.
3 – Is a hot dog a sandwich and why? – Absolutely, anything bookended with bread is technically a sandwich.
4 – Choose a movie title for the story of your life. – “Dude, where’s my car?”
5 – What was your favourite toy as a kid? – Little toy soldiers called Corps, the set had a humvee that my brother and I destroyed with missions.
6 – How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet? – 3 years I think, they’re boots
7 – What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time? – I watch tutorials on things I’ll never need, like ever.

3 – Is a hot dog a sandwich and why? – No, a sandwich is square and has a top and a bottom, a hot dog is long and round and it has two sides.
